The thing that's so wrong about this case is all of the people who stood by and watched. They posted pictures and videos on a ton of social media. Obviously these bystanders had their phones out...if they had enough time to video tape and enough nerve to take their cell phones out, they clearly had enough time to call 911. Especially if any of these bystanders were adults...it's disgusting how selfish people are. It's not them being raped, so they don't care. Well, that girl probably never thought she would be in that situation either.

I think that events like this are terrible. It seems as if there are some missing clues that should be known. There must be some wrong doings if Anonymous decides to get involved. Overall, it is cases like this that can change a society for better in the end. If some kids see this story they may not think of sexually assaulting someone if they know they can get caught.

I think the worse part about all that happened that night is that people sat back and watched, probably in enjoyment. Putting something like this on their social media websites is disgusting. Clearly their immaturity shows why something like this happened. A 16 year old is old enough to know better. The fact that the football team may have been involved in this is even worse. I'm sure this girl is scarred for life and would do anything to erase that night from her memory. These boys that raped her shouldn't get away with it and indeed should recieve the sentence to jail that they deserve. I'm sorry but they knew what they were doing and there is no way out of this one.

It's very sad to hear about the rape case in Ohio. I can't believe that bystanders let those boys continue on and not do anything. If they saw that happening, they should have call the police and reported the crime. It's even more disgusting that they videotaped the whole thing and posted it onto the internet yet they couldn't call the authorities. The people who were taping it are at as much fault as the rapists because they didn't do anything to help that poor girl.

This is a very unfortunate thing that has happened. It's horrible that someone would do something like that to an innocent person. It's also horrible that their were people just standing around and watching this girl get raped. One of the worst parts is that people were taking videos and pictures and posting them on social media sites. If someone is being raped, you need to help them, not just stand their and watch it happen and take videos and pictures. I feel that the 2 guys that raped the girl should be put in jail as well as the people that posted pictures and videos on social media sites. This is a very sad story and if something like this ever happens again people need to help the victim.

I believe that the worst part concerning this whole case was that people were sitting nearby watching it happen. They didn't stop the juveniles. If the boys hadn't posted it on the social media then they wouldn't have even known the allegation occured. However, they shouldn't have been drinking and performing illegal activity. I am, however, happy that it is in the public eye and more people are beginning to become aware of things like this.

This tragic story breaks my heart. I am completely and utterly shocked that people just stood there, and did absolutely nothing for the poor sixteen year old girl that was getting raped. How could someone just stand there and watch that take place? If these bystanders had enough time to take out their phone and tweet about the rape, then they sure as hell could have called the police and reported what just happened. My heart goes out to that innocent girl. This world sickens me.

After reading this article about the rape case in Ohio I was extremely disturbed and immediately upset. Of course the rape itself is entirely wrong and should have never happened in the first place, but horrible situations like these should be prevented and the thing with this case that disturbed me the most was the fact that it could have EASILY been prevented. There were enough bystanders around to either physically stop what was going on or call the police, considering they had their phones out with enough time and nerve to take a video of the offense that was occurring. In my opinion, people are disgusting and are completely living for the wrong reasons.

The entire incident is extremely disturbing and disgusting. As this 16 year old girl was raped, people were videoing taping it and taking pictures of her naked instead of stopping her rapists. On top of that, these same individuals were posting the pictures and videos on social media sites, such as Youtube and Twitter. If individuals had time to post it, then they obviously had time to call the police! What has this world come to!? No one tried to help the girl and she couldn't stop theses 2 football players since she was unconscious. These teenagers talk about the incident to each other laughing like it's some sort of joke and form of enjoyment! How is rape and being assaulted funny!? My heart goes out to this poor, innocent girl for having to deal with all this. No one deserves to go through something so terrible like this, especially at such a young age.

I was so digusted when I read this article. It horrible to hear about a situation like this. The part that digusts me the most is the fact that this was yet another overly publicized situation where the bystanders did nothing. That just makes them almost as bad at those who were raping this innocent girl. If the good people do nothing, then who will we count on? I feel like this is a crime that should not have been put out over the media, whether it was pictures and videos from the actual criminals or just the regular media publishing information about what happened. Everything about this situation was just wrong.

This whole incident is absolutely awful and is an inconvenient reminder that things like these can and do happen. The whole case and the fact that another person labeled Anonymous got involved seems a little bit sketchy and raises a few eye brows. In addition, the fact that there were people who stood by and watched as it happened is disgusting. To have the nerve to video tape such a heinous crime and not step in to help the girl is awful. All that had to be done was a simple phone call to the local police, but the bystanders were too busy videotaping to do that. I hope that the boys responsible receive a harsh punishment and never live what they did down.

I think that this is so wrong and I am shocked with what's wrong with this world. It's crazy how these things happen and we should show some sympathy for these people and realized they are human beings just like us. People really need to start taking some action in their lives and not let these things happen cause one day it may happen to someone close you also and you wouldn't believe no one did anything, meanwhile you ignored as well.

Situations such as this rape are continuing to express how pathetic our generation truly is. The fact that there were witnesses who watched this incident take place is unbelievable. However, there is some controversy to this story seeing that the facts don't seem legitimate yet. Both sides of this incident express the negativity of our generation. There are the two boys who could possibly be responsible for rape; and there is the rape victim who could possibly be a lying. I do feel that if these 2 boys actually raped this girl, that they should be punished only. The entire football team at risk of being punished for their actions is not only unfair, but ridiculous as well. If this girl was actually raped, these boys should be punished harshly; but I will be enraged to find out if this girl is actually lying.

This is story is absolutely disgusting. How does anybody stand there and watch an innocent sixteen year old girl get raped. To me rape is the most horrific thing that somebody can do to another person and there is never an excuse for it. But these other people who then tweeted about this girl being raped in a joking matter are just as horrific. That means that they found some type of pleasure in this girl's nightmare. Our world just continues to become a more terrible place and I am actually scared of the future.

It is terrible that people stood around and watched this happened. the fact that they knowingly put it up on the web is also horrible. everyone involved in this should receive the full wrath of the law and be responsible for what they did. What made this case so widely known was the use of the web and social media. There really is no restriction to what you can put on the web but this is crossing the line. The major sites like Facebook and twitter should have some sort of sensor. Things like this shouldn't be aloud onto the computer so easily. However, the people involved are dealing with the consequences now and hopefully they receive the full force of the law.

This story is so completely disturbing to me, mostly because it happened to kids in a normal high school just like ours. It makes me sick that these kids could preform such a disgusting task to such a young girl, and not just that but to blow up the situation even more by posting it all over social media sites. I question their stupidity by the way they acted in their actions, and then to embarrass themselves even more by posting it all over the internet really just confuses me. But another sickening aspect of this story is that many kids at this party probably knew what was happening and did nothing. They probably just sat around not caring at all which is the worst part of all. Although it is the sick minded people who start these types of tragedies it is the good people who do nothing that keep them from coming to a stop.

As an athlete, players are held to much higher standards on the web. I personally have my Facebook and Twitter monitored by several of my future college coaches. In this day and age, you are held to much higher standards because of how easy it is to post something on a social media site that is explicit or controversial. On another note, the major problem with this story is the rape. First of all that is disgusting of these kids and whether or not they did it they will feel the wrath of their stupidity (posting videos and status' about the event). I know from many personal stories involving people close to me in the lacrosse world about an "alleged rape". Luckily, both cases were false and nobody was punished, by law at least. In both cases, however, the people involved lives were altered drastically, ruining their lacrosse careers at the schools they attended. Rape is nothing to joke about, and anybody who does joke around about it shouldn't be stupid enough to post it to the web where anyone can find it and exploit them on it.

All I can think of when I read this story is the famous quote of the guest speaker we had a few years ago who was a holocaust survivor, "and the good people did nothing." It is despicable that just one person, let alone an entire group of people, could sit back and watch such disgusting acts occur. I can't even begin to fathom what in God's name was going through their minds when they decided to publicize it. Stories like this make me thankful I come from a classier school filled with more respectable students.

It's events like this that really make me question what is wrong with this world that we live in today. The train of thought some people have is just mind blowing to me. I can't comprehend how all these people could watch this and not one could say something. It is very weird to think that this happened in a high school just like ours. I couldn't imagine this happening in our school if it had i would be so disgusted to even attend the school. In my opinion the people who just sat back and watched are just as bad as the rapist. They had all the power in the world to do something and they didn't this not only makes them bad people but it also makes them cowards.
