Unfortunatly for this young girl, she got caught in the middle of something terrible. I believe that she should be allowed to speak her mind and attend school like all the other boys in her country as well as all the other kids in the world. Its strange to think that people in other countrys aren't granted the same rights that we are and aren't allowed to go to school as easily as we are. All she wanted to do was express her opinion online and make others aware of the problems occuring in her homeland and get equal rights, but unfortunatly she was targeted and shot which is really such a shame. Many times throughout history people who try to taKE a stand and voice their opinion end up getting hurt and possibly killed. She really deserves some of her opinions to be answered.

I think Malala has every right to stand up and use her voice for what she believes in. She shows such qualities that many 14 year old girls would be extremely scared to show. I give her a tremendous amount of credit for standing up and using her voice. She probably has come to understand that even in critical condition, she is still being targeted. I hope that this target on her back doesn't stop her from continuing to stand up for what she believes in and I also hope that next time, the Taliban aren't successful witht he plan they have to kill her. I don't think she deserves to die, I just wish more people would stand behind her so they can put up a fighting chance.

I think it is great that a person in a country with such strict rules and limitations spoke up for what she believed in. Pakistan is extremely hostile as it is, but when a female speaks up and gets a following there must be some consequences. Besides being simply rebellious she is very courageous. First to speak up in a country where women have very little rights and secondly it takes guts to stand out from the pack. Her actions led to her life-threatening situation and will most likely lead to her death. Yet, she still blogs and that is a courageous move. Hopefully her mindset of “stand up for what you believe in no matter what” will become a trend in Pakistan and overwhelm the Taliban to a point where they cannot do anything about it. Then Pakistan can become a more peaceful place where people don’t have to live in fear when they speak their minds.

A girl from Pakistan won a peace prize, but was then brutally shot by the Taliban. It's wrong that these people would do this, because anyone should be aloud to attend school. Girls shouldn't have to be homeschooled and be given restricted rights just because their girls, she had a right to stand up in what she believed in. The Taliban shouldn't be able to just go around and shoot people for talking, it's a horrible crime.

I am actually extremely happy that this was our blog to do this week, if it had not been, I easily would have never known about this story and about Malala Yousufzai. This article is overwhelmingly depressing and so true, it’s scary. The fact that men can literally go find a young women, only 14 years old, walking around with her friends, and shoot her, is honestly devastating. I really don’t know what to say except that we should be grateful we live in a country where we are not persecuted for our beliefs, our rights and our freedom. I’m literally sitting here, staring at the video where Malala’s pictures are being shown, and I honestly can’t express my thoughts into words. I am not one to encourage our country going into different countries, but this is something worth helping. She is only 14 years old, and she is easily stronger, smarter and just honestly an amazing human being. This is a life worth saving. The article states that if she pulls through, she will targeted again. The least people can do is not allow that to happen.

I think this is unpeting. This is terrible from what the taliban did to this innocent fourteen year old girl by shotting her in the neck. This girl has a lot of heart to stand up for what she believes in and has a lot of courage and is a hero worshiper. I think all women have to the right to do whatever they want just as much as men have the right to do whatever they want. This girl wants an education and deserves one, but she gets shot in the head just because she wants education? This is pathetic and there should be some immediate action taken this second. The extremists said they were gona kill her after she recovers so I believe action should be taken as soon as possible before this innocent girl dies. Everyone women in Pakistan should be proud of what she did because this will be a turning point on women's rights.

This piece of writing is very moving and inspirational. The story is just heart breaking and disgusting at the same time. The fact that this girl stood up for what she believes in is great but to do it knowing you will be killed is just outstanding and amazing. I applaud this girl and all that she stands for, I wish everyone had freedom like we do here in the US but they don’t. Another great part about this story is she’s standing up for the fact that she wants to go to school and cannot. People here hate school and would love not to go, but she wants to learn she wants to do great things and now she is doing great things. If she is still alive I hope she stays alive and gives hope to people everywhere. And for whoever did this to her to be punished and held accountable for their crimes.

It is really just terrible that this fourteen year old girl has been shot for standing up for her rights. She believes that women have the same rights as men and she will fight for them literally until the end. I find it amazing that she is only fourteen and she’s not afraid. I would be terrified of the Taliban, who are simply sick for harming an innocent fourteen year old girl. Malala is in critical condition, and the Taliban have already said that next time they will make sure that she’s dead. What would is she going to do when she gets better? I’m terrified for her and her family. All she wanted to do was voice her rights and the rights of other women and now she is being cruelly punished. I admire her bravery and confidence.

I think it’s terrible what happened to this poor girl. But it’s also truly amazing and inspirational how she never backed down from what she believes in. she isn’t going to let threats stop her from expressing her beliefs. If she dies, she won’t truly die because her legacy will live on forever. She should be allowed to speak her mind and have an education like any other little boy. This is a real eye opener because a lot of times we don’t realize just how lucky we are to be living in this country. We are free to say what we need to say, sing, dance, play, and most importantly learn. The fact that she was targeted and shot by the Taliban is interesting because the only reason she would be targeted is if they saw her as a threat. And they did which is why they had and still have a hit put out on her. She has a lot of guts and honestly, in not sure that if it came down to it and I was in her situation if I would do the same.

For this young girl at such a young age standup for something she strongly believes in is truly extradinary. Malala has every right to stick up for what she believes in and to fight for what is right in her country. It’s a shame that Malala isn’t given the same rights as we do in our country. I strongly feel that Malala is stuck in a tuff position because she wants to speak her mind but the people around her won’t let her which led her to being shot. This poor young girl is just speak out to the world to whoever will listen and its terrible this had to happen to her and that the Taliban said they will strike again on this young girl, its truly a shame she shouldn’t get judge for this and should be able to fight for whatever is right.

I think it amazing how a 14 year old girl is not afraid to risk her life to rasie her voice and be heard. How shes not afraid of the Talibans and how she wants everyother girl who hides at home to not be scared. I think it horrible how such a great girl was a victim of the shooting, and that she was the one who took the bullet. Its really sad how the Talibans threaten these helpless girls into staying home and not getting the eduaction that they need. Like Malala said "if people dont have the eduated people they will come, if you have eduacted people, they will not come." Every girl should have the ability to fight for their rights.

Malala, a young girl from Pakistan, simply decided to speak up and stand up for herself. Of course in a strict community like theirs, consequences will be served. I think that it was extremely corageous to come foward with her thoughts and opinions about her own homeland, but it is beyond wrong of how she had to suffer for just simply saying how she feels. Malala is a brave girl who should not have to go through such horrific situations such as being shot. This article makes me grateful for where I live and everything that I have and it makes me wish I could help those in need that are suffering.

I was shocked to read that a teenage girl, also a holder of the noble peace prize, was shot down on her way home from school. She earned the noble peace prize by writing about how women/girls should have rights such as getting educated. She was shot down by extremist group called the Taliban who strongly disagree with her opinion. I am appalled at the fact that a group of extremists are targeting a little girl to kill her. This group plans to kill her if she survives the shooting. This young girl portrays great amounts of courage by standing up for what she believes in even if a group of extremists are out to get her. This type of violence should not be tolerated in any society. Killing a girl for standing up for what she believes in. I believe that this girl should have freedom of speech so she can express her opinion. This situation has stirred up debate within the society (groups) and the government. Hopefully this will have a big effect on other people in Pakistan and they will begin to support Malala in her fight for women’s education. I am truly inspired by her courageous actions as a fourteen year old girl. Hopefully people around the world will become inspired and aid her in her fight for rights. Military should be able to protect her from the dangers of the Taliban

I agree fully with Malala she has every right to stand up for what she believes in. Women should be allowed to go to school and not be cooped up in there room for the whole day. Women can be just as successful if not even more successful than men and should be allowed to pursue anything they would like. It’s very courage’s to stand up for what you believe in, especially in a country that is so conservative. In this country we often take this for granted but all this teenager did was say she deserves the right for education. In this country we can say that without any ramifications but for her, she is now laying in critical condition in a protected hospital. She is advocating for those who are too afraid to speak up for themselves. That shows a true sign on a leader and someone who’s not afraid voice their opinion. It shows how important her words are because a 14 year old doesn’t always grab the attention of the national media. She has gained the respect of thousands.

Malala has a right to fight for what she believes in. In Pakistan many basic rights that we have here in the United States have been taken away. Malala should continue to fight for what she believes in and know that her efforts are benefiting the rest of society. Malala is a very brave person who isn't afraid to fight for her rights. The Taliban has no right to try to kill her just because she has different beliefs. Societies all over the world have different groups of people with different ideas and beliefs but killing others in unacceptable. People around the world should continue to support Malala for her bravery and courage to help out others all throughout her country.

Blog Post
Malala Yousufzai is truly an inspiration in showing how to stand up for personal rights. At the young age of 14 she exemplifies excessive courage and bravery. By standing up for women’s rights and her rights of education she was put in a terrible position and now has her life at risk. It is extremely unfair that she got her rights taken away in the first place, and the fact that she was shot for attending school is absolutely horrific. She is a representation of a strong, independent woman who takes pride in her rights and has the strength to stand up for them. This story has truly had an impact on me because it shows me how courage and bravery in what you believe in is so important. I look up to Malala by the way she acted in the position she was put in. I believe that her story has such a touching impact on everyone who hears it. She is an inspiration who deserves to be noticed for her heroism.

It is absolutely amazing that a girl at such a young age stood up for what she believed in. Malala lives in such a strict and rigorous community and yet she had the courage to stand up for herself and others. She risked her life and spoke out for what she believed in and I respect her so much for that. It is never easy to express how you feel and stand up for what you think is right and the fact that Malala did that is just amazing. I agree with former first lady, Laura Bush, that Malala is an inspiration and should be admired for what she’s been doing. I really hope that whoever hurt this girl will be brought to justice because no one should ever hurt a person who is expressing his or her beliefs. I hope that people, especially women and girls, will follow Malala’s footsteps and will fight for woman’s rights and their beliefs. Everyone has the right to an education and deserves to be treated equally no matter where you live or who you are.

No human should be denied the right for promoting what they believe in. Unfortunately for Malala, she was shot for simply trying to gain the rights that all women deserve. I find it so brutal and heart wrenching that there are actually countries such as Pakistan that run order the way they do. The women of Pakistan in my opinion are not even fully considered humans based on the way they are treated and the rights they receive. Malala had extraordinary amounts of courage and heart for expressing her heartfelt opinions based on women’s rights. The fact that this innocent girl was shot is so concerning, for it diminished the confidence of any other girl willing to stand up like Malala had. I truthfully do not believe Malala is safe yet; I feel that as long as she is alive attempting to promote her beneficial ideas, she will remain a major prey of the Taliban.

To think that this girl is standing up for women's rights, and her educational rights at the young age of 14 truly amazes me. This proves that anyone can stand up for what they believe in and make a difference in this world. But unfortunately, Malala Yousufzai is currently fighting for her life after being gunned down heading home from school. This saddens me to think that a young innocent girl that did NOTHING wrong, who just wanted to get an education, is now in critical condition. No human should be denied their right to receive an education. Malala in my eyes represents a strong, independent woman. She should be an inspiration to every single one of us to continue on fighting for what’s right. Whoever did this to Malala should be severely punished for what they've done. If more people spoke their minds and stood up for what they believe in, I think we can make this world a better place.

I give Malala a lot of credit for speaking up and being an activist for her right to an education. However, being a citizen of Pakistan, where the Taliban is a prominent issue and threat, I feel that she must truly believe that what she is fighting for, is worth dying for. Her efforts were extremely noble and admirable, but came at a price. Due to the social standings of women in this part of the world, her efforts and actions came at an almost fatal price. The Taliban are extremists of their religion and believe that women should not speak out or go beyond their said boundaries. Having said that, I commend her deeply and hope that she inspires more women to do the same so as to try to bring the issue to international importance in efforts to try to stop the Taliban. If her blog posts are ever able to inspire such a change, her actions would have gone so much farther and to so much more of a greater cause than she could have ever anticipated. I hope for her sake, that the Taliban do not succeed in their future efforts to hurt/kill her. She has so much to offer to her country, and alive or dead, her memory and actions alone are an inspiration to everyone.

This young girl is a hero and has every right to stand up for what she believes in. Although it is sad that it took a young girl getting shot for everyone to realize the problems going on in Pakistan, at least now people are listening and countries all over the world are trying to help. It takes a lot of guts to go against the normal and speak your mind. This girl is an inspiration to all of us and we should all try to follow in her footsteps. I believe that it is horrible that in Pakistan you cannot express your mind as freely as you can here. I also think it is terrible that this young hero is now in critical condition for this. Violence is never the answer. I hope that because of this girl and her bravery more people start to follow her. Every one should be able to voice their opinion without any consequences.

Although Malala may be risking her life, we can only hope for the best in that she is changing the lives of others. I think that her bravery is inspiring, especially being that she lives where she does. Pakistan is insanely strict as is, and for a female to stand up for what she believes in is very courageous. Malala probably does understand that she still has a target on her back. I wish her the best and I hope that she makes it through. However, whether she does or not, she has truly made a statement to everyone in the world. That's certainly not something everyone can say. She is an inspiration and hopefully others will catch on and begin to use their voices as well. Who knows; maybe she's started a movement.

Unfortunately, in many cases such as Malala's, innocent people are killed for speaking against authority. Many extremists feel the need to eliminate those who are trying to bring them down. I feel that Malala, such an innocent little girl, was the bravest person trying to protect her freedom. She shouldn't have to be afraid to go to school in fear of being killed. I feel that she had great courage and is a hero for the Pakistani people and her story will encourage other women to gain respect and to speak up and finally stop the Taliban. It is difficult for women in those countries to speak their mind and I believe her story ad being an activist will make people listen and try to help the Pakistani people.

This story reminded me of classic examples of women fighting the power, such as Rosa Parks. But what really stands out about this story to me is this girls' age. For someone to not only be so open-minded, confidents, and aware of her own rights and those of others in the world at just 14 years old, but to act upon it enough so to win a nobel peace price is something our children will read about in history books one day. It is disgusting that she was attacked, but ultimately, not unexpected. On countless occasions throughout world history, those who stand up for their rights are attacked and ridiculed.

It is amazing to see such a courageous act from a female in the middle east. As we all know that part of the world is very hostile as it is and with regards to women, respect is at the bottom of the list. For a female to come out and spread her beliefs via blogs that makes a strong statement to any of those who see it. Hopefully with actions like hers, fellow Pakistani's will see what it takes to stick up for themselves and hopefully it will keep the Taliban and other terrorists groups in check. It is sad, however, that for speaking up for what she believes in will most likely lead to her death, but sometimes in risking one life, you can save many others. This is a particular case where I feel that may happen, and for that, the girl should be greatly commended for her actions on an international scale.
