Its really sad that we even have to worry about a serial killer on the loose but that is what our world has come to. Its terrifying that the bodies were found so close to where we live and that he hasnt even been caught. When he does get caught he shouldnt even get the death sentence because that would be too easy. He should get to suffer in the jail the rest of his life and worse because of what he did to these people. I feel so bad for these families whose family members have gone missing and they cant even identify if they are the bodies because the bodies are so damaged. Someone who can do this to numerous people and then just dump them on the side of the road has to be mentally ill. Hopefully he gets caught soon so he doesnt do this to anymore innocent people.
Woah… this is a pretty scary situation. I’m not entirely sure what to think about this because this is something that no one would ever think of happening, but apparently it’s a potential situation. There haven’t been many serial killers on Long Island; in fact, I don’t believe there has ever been a serial killer on Long Island… not one that we know of anyway. As far as I know, most psychotic serial killers come from more isolate areas, like the mid west. It really sucks that a place like long island that has always been looked at as a rather safe place to live, is now not safe at all. I don’t want to have to be weary when I’m out late somewhere or even when I’m taking out my garbage. I really hope that if there is a serial killer he/she is found quickly and a situation like this does not happen again anytime soon.
I think that these murderers are extremely scary and can only hope that the murderer is found soon. I don't think everyone should be focused on the fact that the victims may have been prostitute, no matter what their job may be no one deserves to be taken away from their family and friends like that. It also really suprises me that the bodies have supposidly been there for months because how than have they not been found before? I hope that this is soon found so that the families of these victims can mourn their loved ones and no others are in any risk of being harmed by this same person.
I believe this is a serial killer. Four bodies were found along the same quarter-mile stretch of beachside road just feet from the roadway. Also by the way the bodies look, it seems they have been thrown from a vehicle. As said in the article, "Dormer said the four appeared to have been killed elsewhere and then brought to the site." If this was true, there most likely wouldn't be 4 different murders that the bodies were placed near the same place in the same spotting down the beach.
The thought of possibly having a serial killer on Long Island is something that people are not used to. It is quite likely that the four deaths in one area are linked back to one single serial killer. We are lucky to live in an area where we don't have to worry about getting brutally stabbed or killed in the street wherever we go. If there is in fact a serial killer on Long Island, people will have to be on constant alert where ever they go and even in their own homes. It would be a change of lifestyle for everyone on Long Island. My cousins lived in Maryland during a time when a sniper was on the loose. For months they had to live in fear. They couldn't go anywhere without worrying about getting attacked. I hope that this never happens on Long Island. Hearing of a serial killer on Long Island is something that will greatly change the way we live.
As horrific as it sounds, I believe there is a possiblilty that we can have a serial killer here on Long Island. When policemen were searching for the body of Shonnan Gilbert, a cadaver dog found several dead bodies in the marsh on the side of the roadway. It is hard to believe that all four people were killed by different murderers. The murderer's victims seem to be female prostitutes. I find it scary that 4 dead bodies have been in the bushes near Cedar Beach for the past four years, where I have been several times this Summer.
It personally troubles me that people have to deal with this and be worried about it. This is a very seriousl matter that most people don't come into contact with in their lifetime. I think this is going to be a challenge for the police because they do not have much eveidence to go with right now. If and when he is caught i think he should be sentenced to life in prison without parole. He took the lives of four innocent people and he should suffer just like they did.Death would be a blessing for him.
The four bodies were found along the same quarter mile stretch of beachside road only a few feet off of the actual road. The bodies all apeared to be disposed of in the same way, the cops think that they were thrown from a moving vehicle. The police beleive that the bodies were dumped seperatly over an eighteen month period.
I beleive that its is entirely possible and actually based on the evidence seems extremely likely that there is a serial killer on Long Island. However i would leave that kind of thing to the profesionals to decide.
Reading this article, i feel like it is a new episode of Law and Order: SVU. This isnt something that you hear on Long Island and it is a little frightening that this person could potentially be one of our neighbors. I feel that this has the potential to be a serial killer but i think that the police need to get more information about the victims to get a better idea of if this could be a serial killer. Once they get an idea of what the victims were like, they may be able to connect similarities and try to make connections to show that this is, or isnt, a serial killer. If this person is not a serial killer i almost feel that could be worse because if he is just a person killing people, it could be more dangerous to the people on Long Island because it could just mean this person is a random killer. I think that serial killer or not, this person is a danger and needs to be found as fast as possible to avoid more deaths
I think it may be a little to early to say we have an actual "serial killer" on Long Island. Once they identify the bodies and they find they're not related in any way, but possibly have something in common, like prostitution, and then I would have to think it's safe to say there is a serial killer on the loose. I think releasing this information so early is a bit stupid because they could cause a riot and people to freak out, when it could possibly be just another murder case (unfortunately it's possible to word that sentence like that). Hopefully with today's police and detective system, we will be able to find this killer before anything else could happen.
This is shocking to hear about. We have not had something like this, near where we live, happen in a long time. I am not sure if it is a serial killer yet, but when they find out who the victims were and their quailities we will be able to see if there were any consistent traits in his killings. For example, if they were all the same age or went to the same place everyday. Once they figure this out we will all be able to put the pieces tigether. But whether or not if this is a serial killer it is still very scary to hear, especially because it is so close to us. Lets hope that there are no more bodies and that this guy gets caught.
I think my mother said it best when it comes to this situation. She said, "It's like an episode of criminal minds!" I agree fully! It's almost to out there to believe. This is because I dont think there ever has been a serial killer on Long Island. I think it is too soon to know if it truly is a serial killer, they dont even know if all the killings are the same person, but still, it is very scary to live so close to where people are being killed. One thing i will say is that, unfortunately, these women probably were in the midst of dangerous men a lot, because a few were prostitutes and escorts. I feel horrible that they lived a life where they had to be around people like that and did not get out of that lifestyle before it turned fatal.
I beleive that this is a serial killer. His MO (Mondus operandi) matches for every person and the location that the bodys were left in shows that the killer has designated area for this. He is still at large which means that the cops are going to have their hands full searching for him and all we can do is hope that they find him.... 19th <3

The chase of a new victim is my favorite activity. Some like sports and video games, but I like to hunt. However hunting involves a wide variety of game. My preferred taste is the scum of the earth, humans. It's not an easy task, but its something that I have a peculiar taste of and a remarkable ability to perform. Nobody really knows what drives the need to kill and become a serial killer, but it just happens. The trick, however, is to not get caught.
I thought I might run a couple of steps before you go out killing. First of all, know who your target is and learn who they are. Try to find every aspect of their personality down to where they live, their family, even if they know some form of martial arts. Know who you're up against so you will be prepared to face every challenge you will come across. Remember to always be aware of your surroundings while near that person and try to catch them off guard. The term “location, location, location” fits in perfectly here; always plan in advance. Know where to set up your area and properly make it so that nobody can find you. Always pick an area that can be quickly cleaned up, and covered in some sort of plastic or some other material. In addition, always remember to know what to do with the body, such as using a simple method of adding a second body in a coffin in a cemetery or simply dumping it in a river. Of course there are more tips to be said, but they are the kind that need to be learned over time with a little bit of trial and error.
My favorite targets are the ones who are virtually no one. Finding a new target is like a block of ice for a sculpture, and trying to figure out where to take out that first chip with a chisel and hammer. Among all of the people that I watch going through New York City, I find that the best place to find these soon to be targets are in the crowded streets during the day. Sitting at a café observing the behaviors of multiple people looking for a simple nobody all day really helps me sort out whom to kill.
Alas, I have found my target. A lowly accountant, Dan is a very lonely man who does not have many friends or family. No one will miss him. I begin to become close friends with him by visiting his firm, and becoming a close private friend by visiting him for dinner and accompanying him for lunch on multiple occasions, slowly learning his entire schedule and gathering more information about this sad soul. Eventually I scheduled a get together with just me and him for a night at a bar, knowing that there will be no drinking that night. It fills me with excitement to think about the night to come, and how it will be his last.
Despite its horrific appearance, there may be a serial killer on Long Island. It is very rare for four dead bodies to be found in nearly the same place and it seems as if thee is no other option than various murders. In response to the bodies being found, I think of it as an eye opening experience. I have always thought of Long Island as a very safe place, and have been somewhat naive to the fact that bad things can happen on Long Island, and it may not always be entirely safe. If it turns out that a serial killer is responsible for the decomposed bodies, I am in disbelief on how someone could commit such disgusting crimes. I think for someone to murder multiple people they must have serious problems and are incapable of thinking clearly. The possibility that a serial killer is murdering people less than three hours away from Smithtown has caused me to rethink my beliefs, and doubt my security.
I believe there is a serial killer on Long Island, is that even a question, since four bodies were found? It's a very surprising things, since nothing dangerous or exciting like this happens on Long Island. It's very scary, if you think about it. We have always lived in something like a bubble. Nothing ever happened like this here, and now there is a potential killer among us.

This sounds like a bad CSI episode and I can't believe its happening in my own county. From the evidence shown in the article I do believe it was a serial killer. What i don't understand is how it took 8 months for anyone to find the bodies that have just been decaying on the beach a few feet from the road.Suffolk county is suppose to be a safe place with little crimnal activity and now we have a serial killer in our mist. I hope they find some sort of evidence to help them catch this monster. I've been to this beach many times this summer, it's weird to think these missing peoples bodies were there as well.
Well, tonight is the night. The chase is on, and I’m hunting the world’s top predator. And it’s going to happen again, and again. I enjoy savoring every moment of the special “me” time I get during the day. With a hypodermic needle filled with my own special anesthetic sitting in my pocket, I’m ready to get to my target and take advantage of any situation I can get with him. Slowly sneaking up to a preoccupied target that has been on my eyes for several weeks now, the moment has finally come; just a gentle slip of the needle into his neck and he’s mine for the taking. The slow drive towards the abandoned building on the outskirts of town to the room that has been prepared in advance is always very serene and peaceful. The room is covered in plastic everywhere: the walls, floor, and ceiling and the center piece which is the former target who is now the victim. Stripped completely naked and covered in plastic to be held down, he knows his time has come. Now for my favorite part, the slow, but ever lasting talk of getting to know the man who I've stalked for such a long time really brings the character to life, and putting a personality to the face and name. Now, for the moment of truth, the knife slowly comes into play, lifting it into the air and letting the victim see the weapon of choice, and just one deft movement into the chest letting all the blood slowly ooze out of the body. Enjoying every moment of slowly watching the man die, this is the feeling of victory. Suddenly the unexplainable dark void in my soul feels like something has plugged it up for the time being, and I am finally at peace within myself.
Time to clean up; getting out the simple tools that I can use to properly disassemble the human body, I get to work. With a circular cutting saw in hand, I start at the arm. Blood flying all over the room really conveys the point of the plastic, and calls for a very easy clean up. Once the extremities of the body are cut off, I begin to slice open the body and gut it. With a special garbage bag that calls only for the entrails, I pick up the still warm substances left in the body. Now that the body is converted from the magnificent shape of the human physique into simple garbage bags, it’s time to leave. Picking up the blood stained plastic off of the walls from which I worked so hard to paint; it almost breaks my heart but it is all necessary. Leaving the abandoned building from which I did my glorious crime, I head over to the road kill cleanup center, where my favorite incinerator is. I leave no trace of my presence anywhere, and yet I am able to return to my home as if I never left, suddenly more content than I have ever been in my life.
Another serial killer? Every few years we find another murderer. These people are usually males between the ages of 25-50. Although these stories may be interesting to solve the mysetery of motive, this is also disgusting and inhuman at the same time. It just sickens me when you hear of people murdering other people and leaving their bodies to rot on the side of the road somewhere. I think this person deserves the death penalty. Not just anywhere, but on fireisland by all the beaches where I spend at least 10% of my summer. who knows, there could be hundreds more dead bodies by those beaches. This is too scary to think of. Who knows who this serial killer is? If they ever find him, he deserves to die. even though they only found three victims, there could be tons more.
There's not a whole lot of information shown in the article, I don't know if it's because the public can only know so much. They don't really give their opinions like whether they think he's from around here or not, but he must be if he knew to come to this remote area. Also, as remote as this place is i'm surprised these bodies were not discovered sooner lying so close to the highway. It's probably not something to worry about for us because his victims were all prostitutes, but it's a scary thing to think about. Is this guy an expert or did he get lucky with this location and failure to leave evidence? Could this guy be a real serial killer and have killed many more people and put them in other remote places down the East coast?
It's pretty surreal to think that we might have a serial killer among us, but the interesting thing about this is that these bodies seem to have been there for a while. If this guy hasn't been caught, he's either dead, stopped killing, or hidden more bodies elsewhere. Sadly, the second option is the least likely, as psychopaths are not likely to change their ways. It will be interesting to see what happens once these bodies are identified, and if more bodies are found, I would be very worried about the safety of my family and friends.
I think it is bad that we should even have to worry about this. However since we do I think people in the area need to be careful and the police need to do their best in finding this person. In my personal opinion i think that these are serial murders. The patterns exhibited by the murders point to one killer. I think that as soon as this person is found they should be thrown in jail and left to rot there.Giving them the death penalt would be too kind.

I think that it is sick that we have to worry about a possible serial killer on Long Island. The fact that serial killers exist at all in the world is scarey enough for me and the idea that there could possibly be one on Long Island is incredibly scarey. The bodies have been dumped on a beach and people have walked by without noticing. This just goes to show how oblivious we really are. You could be in harms way and the people in the area around you could not even notice. I think that we should be putting a significant amount of effort into finding this killer. If we don't find the killer soon more innocent lives are at risk. We could all be in serious danger. I think that this just goes to show what our world is becoming, that even a place like Long Island isn't safe anymore. I hope that the killer is found soon before it is too late for someone else.
In my lifetime, we never had to deal with a serial killer near our hometown. Even though the bodies weren't found in our town, it is still very close and a potentially scary situation for some people. People can't let it affect them because it they do, then they will live in fear until the killer is caught. But once the killer is caught, another one will come up eventually so people are going to have to deal with the way the wolrd is and not live in fear. Kenny Anello
Four bodies were found on the same 1/4 mile strech of a beach. This is very much possible that we do have a serial killer. The thought of even having a serial killer on the Island is very scary. It isnt something people think about everyday, which is why it probally shocked everyone more. If we really do have a serial killer, people are going to have to be more alert of the things going on around them. Just the thought to think that the bodies were brought to a beach, where little kids go to have fun during the summerl. I really hope this serial killer gets caught, but since he hasnt been caught by now, then he has probally moved elsewhere or is dumping the bodies somewhere else.
I certainly believe we do have a serial killer in our midst. I think that all the circumstances of finding dead bodies and people missing are too coincidental to assume otherwise, and further testing will prove it. It is terrifying to think that this is even a possiblilty, and although I don't think anyone should be living in fear, everyone should remain slightly on their toes. What surprises me about this "serial killer" is that he is on Long Island. I've never even heard a case of a Long Island serial killer before; I feel that most are from most isloted areas in the Western United States. This is a very scarey situation, and will cause many people immense fear until this case is cracked.
It's hard to believe that theres a killer on long island. We always watch tv shows about serial killers and stuff but we never think that it could happen anywhere close to us. Well it hasn't been confirmed that this is actually a serial killer. This means that we can't let our guard down when we are out late at night. Not all serial killers live in isolated places, they do and can "operate" in densely populated areas as well. Now we know that Long Island is not as safe as we thought it was. I just hope this person gets caught soon.
